The Padi Seal Team Experience At Scubaversity

Training Courses MandyZ COMMENTS 26 Feb, 2026

Is your child looking for their next big challenge? If they’ve already conquered the bathtub and the backyard pool, it’s time to take their aquatic skills to the next level. In 2026, scuba diving isn't just for grown-ups—it’s a high-tech, action-packed hobby for the next generation of explorers.

The PADI Seal Team is for young scuba divers who are looking for action-packed fun in a pool by completing exciting AquaMissions. Think of it as the "Junior Secret Service" of the diving world. Instead of just swimming laps, kids get to suit up in real scuba gear and complete specialized tasks that build confidence, teamwork, and serious skill.

Beyond the Basics: Missions for Modern Explorers

Have you ever wondered what it's like to dive with flashlights, take digital pictures underwater or float effortlessly like an astronaut? The program is designed to keep kids engaged through "AquaMissions." The first five missions focus on the core essentials of diving—breathing, clearing a mask, and understanding the gear. But that’s just the beginning.

Beyond learning basic scuba skills, there are specialty AquaMissions, such as wreck diving, navigation, buoyancy, environmental awareness and more. Whether they are using a compass to find "sunken treasure" or practicing their "Inner Space" buoyancy to hover like a pro, every session is a new adventure. PADI Seal Team includes doing some cool stuff in the pool, meeting friends and sharing in the adventure of the underwater world.

Who Can Join the Team?

The best part? You don't need to be an Olympic swimmer or have any previous diving experience to get started.

  • The Age Factor: To join the PADI Seal Team, a child must be 8 years of age or older. * The Skills: No prior experience with scuba diving is necessary, but kids should be comfortable in the water. * The "OK": Parental approval is required.

Why Start Now?

Starting at age eight gives kids a massive head start. By the time they turn ten and are eligible for their Junior Open Water Diver certification, they will already have the muscle memory and confidence of a seasoned pro. Plus, with the 2026 refreshed digital learning materials, they can even start their journey at home on a tablet before they ever jump into the pool at Scubaversity.
